After much cake and ice cream we made our way out to the French farm! Stuart had taken Riley earlier in the week to experience the mighty Shenandoah river and she ended up loving it, so we decided to take her back. As soon as we hit the first cattle guard Riley knew what was up, she was PuMpEd! Let's just say I think she loves the river more than she loves us.
As we were leaving the river our buddy Trip French (it's his family farm that we were on) gave Stuart a shot at riding his dirt bike and let him "sit" on the real motorcycle...Stuart loved it of course. So, I am thinking there is probably going to be an addition of some type of motor vehicle with two wheels in our future, we'll see!
We finished up the evening with a concert by the Dixie Hummingbirds at the Shenandoah Valley Music Festival at Orkney Springs....where we got married! It was a beautiful evening with great music to finish off a fun-filled day.
Sunday, brought on the Dellinger (Leake) family reunion and what should have been lots of softball. It was great to get to meet everyone at the reunion and see a lot of new/old faces in the family. After the reunion Stuart and I headed to the house to meet Mom and Ronnie who were up for a quick visit and to hopefully get to see some softball action. Not so much...our first two games were forfeits so Mom and Ronnie headed out for some grub and to make it home before too late. The Leake/Yoder/Burkett clan also popped by to watch some action...thanks guys!! Either way it was good to see Mom and Ronnie and everyone for a bit. :-)The last softball game was a close one...all the way up to the last inning...but we pulled out a "W"!! It was a great way to end the weekend!
